A 20 cow herd of Red Angus cattle is located 1000ft up in the
Pentland Hills just south of Edinburgh in Scotland. It is one of the
few all red pedigree Aberdeen Angus herds in the UK and has some of
the most powerful Scottish genetics in the current bloodlines. The
emphasis on the breeding cows is for shape, proportional length and
thickness, and they must be docile, have good legs and feet and
traditional heads. The herd of today is the result of ruthless
dispersal and careful selection of only the very best of heifers and
using the highest quality red bulls that suit the cows.
Youngstock for Sale -
there
is
usually a selection of good quality heifers and bulls for sale
privately in their first or second year at a reasonable price.
Visitors are very
welcome after a quick call to check we are home (++ 00 44 (0)7836
729988) and we are easy to find - a stone’s throw from the main
A702 trunk road heading south from Edinburgh

CURRENT STOCK BULLS
AUCHINCRIEVE RED ELATION G908 (Ben)
This powerful and well proportioned bull is still our stock sire and
we don’t want to change him yet because he would be very hard to
replace! His calves are easily born, are consistently correct and
well shaped and they inherit his quiet docile demeanour. He had a
highly successful show career before coming to us, winning most
everything he was entered for, and he is a bull that keeps himself
fit and mobile throughout the year, never putting on excess fat.
At present we use AI on
his retained daughters using the best matched red semen that we can
find.
