BIO-SECURITY – We have a healthy herd of horses and would like to keep it that way. There are disinfectant buckets, quarantine, worming and strangles procedures for incoming horses and risk assessments when attending shows and events. It’s easy and it works. |

HORSE HEALTH – The farm is situated over 1000 ft above sea level and in an open location so midge and fly irritation is very much reduced. Horses with sweet itch get relief almost immediately they arrive and each year the sweet itch symptoms are reduced. Most fields are interesting and undulating with rough grass which is ideal for horses, and sheep are used to reduce the richness and eat the weeds. Horses and ponies can also be cared for individually if a situation arises that warrants this i.e. illness, too fat, too thin etc. Like type groups are kept together to increase sociability and playfulness, and respect is given to close bonds. We like to keep our horses happy and their wellbeing is our prime concern. It follows then that the owners are happy too! |

We also have "retirement fields" at Rogersrigg. We own lovely big peaceful fields where horses can graze out their retirement with company of their own age. They are carefully checked every day. Contact us to find out about the reasonable rates for this service. |

SECURITY – We live on the farm and the yard lodge is also occupied so there is usually somebody about to keep a watchful eye. We also have CCTV cameras, security beams and guard dogs on the prowl to chase away any undesirables.

We hope you will come and be a part of our livery group of friendly folk who have made new friends and all have a love for their horse.
